Chairman's Notes - October 2024

Managers, I have a couple of things for you:

There seems to be some confusion on our experiment to play the 65 Teams on the same weekend of the 50 Teams. Each person does have the opportunity to be on 2 different Rosters because of this change. But, you can only be on one Roster on a tournament weekend.

Example: If you are 65+ in age you can play on 65 Team, but can also play on a 60+ Team. If you are 70+ in age, you can play on a 70+ Team, but also a 65+ Team.

The only age group limited to one Roster is a person who is in his/her 50's age group.

The 2024 FHC elections are coming soon. You Managers will be able to vote online from Sunday October 20 through Thursday October 24. During the week prior to the election the candidates will be announced.

Please make sure you understand the Rabbit Runner rule, and the Extra Inning procedure. I addressed those in my last Chairman's Notes.

Please make sure that if you have a Player that needs a 'Rabbit Runner,' you must contact Hal Hatley or Mike Knowles, and we will help you..

If you have a Player that needs a 'Rabbit Runner,' and you have a waiver from FHC, you need to show that email to the umpires prior to each game. If a Player uses a Rabbit Runner once, he/she must use that procedure for the rest of the tournament.

We have been forced to cancel 2 tournaments in a row, but both times it was for the safety and preservation of people's well-being and their very lives. We do care for each and every person in FHC. Please understand that, and share that with your Team Members.
